I’m Brandy, an accomplished Instructional Designer and Graphic Artist. I specialize in developing comprehensive learning and evaluation strategies and designing engaging eLearning assets. 

I’m passionate about creating training materials which foster an audience’s inherent curiosity and desire to learn. I love to combine my digital design expertise with the psychology and methodologies of learning in order to transform everyday lessons into engaging, interactive experiences.

MY BACKGROUND.

Most recently, I’ve worked as both an Instructional Designer and as a Senior International Training Specialist at General Nutrition Center (GNC) corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 

I initially joined GNC in the fall of 2018 as an Instructional Designer due to my strong desire to help people learn how to achieve improved health and wellness. In that role, I had the opportunity to successfully develop, design, and evaluate a wide variety eLearning courses utilizing Articulate 360, Rise, and Microsoft 365 applications. The topics of the courses included general health and nutrition information, specific product knowledge, sales techniques, leadership skills, and compliance training. After one year I was promoted to Senior International Training Specialist. In this new role, I helped to establish an international training strategy and develop training assets for GNC International markets. I accomplished this, in part, by implementing train-the-trainer sessions, facilitators guides, blended learning, video training segments, and evaluation tools.

My work at GNC played a major role in improving the effectiveness of the retail store training programs, both in the US and internationally. When creating eLearning courses and developing training plans, I work at an expert level in Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline 360, Articulate Rise, Microsoft 365, Google Suite, and WebEx. I’ve also spent more than ten years honing my eye for design while working as a graphic designer, web designer, and illustrator in a variety of capacities.
